Repérages - The Cinémathèque suisse’s magazine
Drawing from its own collections, the Cinémathèque suisse publishes Repérages, an online magazine with thematic issues each dedicated to specific aspects of the history of Swiss cinema. Each issue brings together in-depth analyses of films and archive documents, illustrated by sources from the collections. In collaboration with national and international experts and the universities of Zurich and Lausanne, Repérages explores Switzerland's film heritage from a rigorous, well-documented angle. The magazine also includes a special section entitled ‘Notes from the archives’, which highlights the various conservation, restoration and promotion activities carried out by the Cinémathèque suisse.
Home – the Cinémathèque suisse’s virtual exhibitions
The Home platform hosts virtual exhibitions devoted to the history of Swiss cinema, based on in-depth research carried out in the the Cinémathèque suisse’s own archives. The selected documents are digitised and presented online, accompanied by texts that place them in their historical context. Through these exhibitions, the Cinémathèque suisse highlights the wealth of its collections and offers the general public an in-depth and accessible look at key aspects of Switzerland's film heritage.
Restored films
The Cinémathèque suisse showcases its collections offering free access to a selection of short films. These films take you on a nostalgic and humorous journey back in time to discover Switzerland, its attractions (Rhine Falls, horse-drawn carriages in Saint-Moritz, etc.), iconic brands (Ovaltine, Caran d'Ache, etc.) and history through contemporary newsreels. These cinematic gems have been restored thanks to the support of Memoriav, in partnership with specialist Swiss and European laboratories.
