Play est une analyse fine inspiré de cas réels. Entre 2006 et 2008, en plein centre ville de Göteborg en Suède, un groupe de garçons âgés de douze à quatorze ans racketta d’autres enfants à plus de quarante reprises. Par le biais d’un savant jeu de rôles qui reposait sur l’usage d’une rhétorique de gang, les voleurs avaient mis au point une stratégie élaborée connue sous le nom de « coup du petit frère », n’impliquant aucune violence physique.
